Bubba Tom's Talent

While updating some things today, I took a few minutes out to enjoy the video clips Bubba Tom has created and provided. Know what? They're really good. Thanks, Tom, for taking the time to share your talent with the rest of us.

Word Crafters

Peter James has offered his poem, Evergreen, to inaugurate a new feature for the family website.

Evergreen was recently published in his college literary magazine. Rumor has it Jim's working on a novel next.

I decided to include the poem on this page for the time being. As the collection grows (and that IS a hint), we'll add a place for the work of the word crafters among us.

Kiya Is Two

Too Cute For Words

This one plays right in the web page, and no delays. Let's get Tom to tell us how he did it.

Grandma Anagene's Bedford Years

These are images from Uncle Jack's collection.

The Fridge Door

These are images were contributed by family members.

Dear Hearts and Gentle People

Emma contributed this one.

Please download this one before you try to play it. The file is huge and probably won't stream for you.  Right mouse-click the link and do a "SAVE AS" for the file.

David Russell Hepworth's first sonata:  The Sonata of Sorrow

Rumor has it the next one is going to be longer.

Evergreen

  by Peter Brotherton

How does one stay evergreen?
'Tis long the focus of my thought
Forever-young the adage tolls
I know the secret, all untaught

But caution still I would advise
My secret will avail you not
Despair and weep my still young friend
This secret known cannot be bought

To learn it though, I'll toss you in
Such learning has had some success
Some tips, some clues, but not enough
Experience will teach you best

To Beauty I will give my love
And Humor will be dear to me
O Music! Take me back again
Eternal youth is found in thee.

What are you waiting for?

We hope you like the movies and pictures that are beginning to appear here, a few at a time. The only problem is that there are so many of us, and so few pictures. Why don't you do something about that?

Thanks in advance.

*It takes several minutes to buffer enough of the clips to start direct playback on a broadband connection, so don't lose patience.

It takes a few more minutes to download the entire clips on a broadband connection so you can play them later. Downloads take much longer on a dialup connection. However you go about it, though, the results are well worth it; you'll see.
